WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE

WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE.

SOME PEOPLE WAIT A LIFETIME TO FIND A GREAT CAR, SOME FIND IT WHEN THEY ARE A TEEN, AND WAIT A LIFETIME TO WON IT. MARK WAS A FORTUNATE RARITY, HE GOT BOTH THE CAR HE DESIRED 30ISH YEARS AGO, AND IT'S A BARNFIND 1969 GT 500 SHELBY MUSTANG

Mark's neighbor was an attorney that owned 3 Shelby Stangs, acquiring each as payment on cases, and this was the one he drove the most and damaged in the early 80's, and then parked it in the warehouse over his office.

Some photos remind me of others.... the NYPD airplane at Bennett Field reminded me of the SDFD Aerial Truck

Top photo from http://www.scoutingny.com/ I'm pretty sure

maybe you see why. The bottom photo is from the Clairemont Fire Department wall of interesting photos http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/09/betcha-never-heard-of-aerial-truck.html and you can see that it's an "Aerial Truck" and I didn't make that up... and that has been posted for over a year and I've never had a comment about the term Aerial Truck yet. I still think it's pretty odd.

Cordelia Fire Dept #316, Dodge Power Wagon, the cleanest, shiniest, most stunning fire truck I've seen... it should be winning Concours De Elegance awards, but I found it in the Mopar Alley at SEMA 2012

the above tire, and shock absorber.... perfectly clean

on the window frame above the windshield "Find 'em hot, leave 'em wet!"

Touch a Truck, an annual and growing event that raises funds, and kids interest in big rigs, semi's, and trucks has grown to the point that it happens in the Qualcomm stadium parking lot now

This family-friendly car show is a sure hit with kids and parents alike, as all the vehicles are open for you to climb in and honk the horn! From the Wells Fargo Stage Coach to Robosaurus, military vehicles to monster trucks, Harley's to HumVees, classic cars to emergency vehicles, big rigs to construction rigs. Touch A Truck will please your palate, too, with 20 gourmet food trucks, an old fashioned bake sale, lemonade "experience", and more

This is Robosaurus! I didn't get there early enough to catch it in action, I had a car show I was at before this years Touch a Truck.. some days there are more than one car show to see.

The Boogie Brothers Blues Band was pretty good! I liked them, and their playlist, though I doubt the kids were able to hear the music.. the kids were HYPED up!
