WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE

WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE.

SOME PEOPLE WAIT A LIFETIME TO FIND A GREAT CAR, SOME FIND IT WHEN THEY ARE A TEEN, AND WAIT A LIFETIME TO WON IT. MARK WAS A FORTUNATE RARITY, HE GOT BOTH THE CAR HE DESIRED 30ISH YEARS AGO, AND IT'S A BARNFIND 1969 GT 500 SHELBY MUSTANG

Mark's neighbor was an attorney that owned 3 Shelby Stangs, acquiring each as payment on cases, and this was the one he drove the most and damaged in the early 80's, and then parked it in the warehouse over his office.

1967 Plymouth Barracuda rebodied by Ghia... renamed the 450SS. One of 52 made

1954 Plymouth Explorer body by Ghia

Monday, November 5, 2012

Ray Evernham made a 64 Plymouth Belvedere just like the ones that won in NASCAR, in 1964 at the Daytona 500 and the NASCAR Grand National Championship

750 Hp, 4 speed, front and rear clips from a modern NASCAR race car, and fully adjustable suspension. The only thing it doesn't come with is a crew chief and a pit crew!

Net proceeds from the sale will go to Evernham Family Racing for a Reason, a foundation that is funding IGNITE, a new program and facility in Davidson, N.C. operated by the Autism Society of North Carolina.

IGNITE enables adults with High-Functioning Autism or Asperger Syndrome to enjoy a better quality of life as valued members of the community in which they live and work.

One of the best concept artists in the movie industry is a Mopar E Body fan

http://ebodies.blogspot.com/ which has about 90-100 variation on the Barracuda, which seem to be a side effect of his buying a 72 or 73 Barracuda and making it a project that he's covering on his other blog http://beckkustoms.blogspot.com/

A990 superstock Plymouth trivia

 above photo from http://draglist.smugmug.com/Drag-Racing/2010-York-Musclecar-Madness/12886056_HLL43/3/930442314_XDG4d#!i=930442314&k=XDG4d

the trivia.. this was one of only 3 A990 known to still exist with a 4 speed, 833 trans

It was the winner of the (Tulsa Oklahoma )World Nationals in 1967.. and was 2 years old. Obsolete by most opinions of drag racers, but beat the factory racers in the newest lightweight cars, with the newest most expensive trick parts. Grumpy Jenkins, Sox and Martin, etc etc etc were not the champs in 1967, it was a couple guys you've never heard of in a 2 year old car that was getting by on pity parts from friends and fans, Like George Hurst who gave them a shifterand line lock, and they won the largest purse to that point for Super Stock  $10,000

Learned about this story in the Oct 2012 Mopar Muscle magazine
