WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE

WHAT A 1930'S DUESENBURG CAR DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM MIGHT HAVE LOOKED LIKE.

SOME PEOPLE WAIT A LIFETIME TO FIND A GREAT CAR, SOME FIND IT WHEN THEY ARE A TEEN, AND WAIT A LIFETIME TO WON IT. MARK WAS A FORTUNATE RARITY, HE GOT BOTH THE CAR HE DESIRED 30ISH YEARS AGO, AND IT'S A BARNFIND 1969 GT 500 SHELBY MUSTANG

Mark's neighbor was an attorney that owned 3 Shelby Stangs, acquiring each as payment on cases, and this was the one he drove the most and damaged in the early 80's, and then parked it in the warehouse over his office.

I think this '41 Cadillac has a cool look, Tucci hot rods built it, and put in a 500hp Northstar engine

I just learned that Tucci Hot Rods made it to the Ridler great 8 with their 1935 3 window Ford back in 2009. That is high level perfection.

few prototypes and concept cars are coming up in emails that I haven't seen before, but Randy found one with some previously that I had never seen

coincidentally this 1948 Cadillac Series 62 by Soutchik was just the car in a 2012 calendar that a coworker has... and I was going to look it up. Now I don't need to!
this car was in the Imperial Casino car collection/ museum http://vizlepcso.blogspot.hu/2008/07/auto-collections-tizenhatodik-rsz.html

1953 Cadillac by Ghia... the Rita Hayworth car
it has an interesting history http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/03/1953-cadillac-series-62-rebodied-by.html and the color in daylight is closer to purple.

1955 Lincoln Indianapolis

1956 Oldsmobile Golden Rocket had an interesting design for a steering wheel. the spokes are at one side. Looks like maybe the speedometer was in the center of the steering wheel too... imagine how far that steering wheel would roll up toward the roof

1957 Chrysler Diablo by Ghia

Eldorod, once built at Hot Rods by Boyd, the new owner had Chip Foose make some finishing touches and upgrades

The 1948 Cadillac was named the "Eldorod," it was the first car designed by Foose for Boyd Coddington's hot-rod business. The striking example of post-war luxury wears a custom shade of deep blue from BASF, and the car was a highlight of the paint company's stand at SEMA.

It features bumpers from a 1956 Chevrolet Nomad and the grille opening of a mid-'50s Oldsmobile. The fenders, window lines and hood were reshaped. The convertible top, elegant in a soft white, was reskinned in Mercedes canvas.

Initially, some of the more elaborate cues were left out of the Eldorod in an effort to deliver it on time to the client.

Cadillac ULC prototype at the Art Center College Car Classic

ULC stands for Urban Luxury Concept

Designed at GM's North Hollywood Advanced Design Center under the direction of Frank Saucedo, the ULC purports to be a baby Cadillac with a smaller-than-usual footprint, plus lots of room inside and a frugal hybrid powertrain under the hood.

Vehicle scenes from the movie "The Artist"

Great old bus.... in the beginning of the movie the female lead character arrives in Hollywoodland on this bus, in the dvd extras they had the below color image showing the back of the bus. The tires look very 1930's or 40's, but the headlights and front end look quite 1920's. The movie at this point was pre-1929.

 Her big Cadillac, a 1939 I think
